For telling the American people how difficult it was to keep gasoline prices low because of the dependence on foreign oil. Exxon Mobil earned $10.36 Billion in the 2nd quarter 2006, which was the second largest quarterly profit in history for a U.S. company. Exxon Mobil also took first place in 2005. His salary package was $42 Million in 2005. He received a retirement and severance package of $400 Million in Janauary 2006 when he retired. While Americans are paying over $3.00 per gallon for gas each day, he must feel a little ridiculous! But maybe that is why he is smiling?
